HSM x Not A Size Zero: Farfetched

Friday, December 11, 2015 Denise G

This has got to be one of my most favorite photo shoots that I have done. It was so much fun to be able to take photos with my favorite dog, Odie. A couple of weeks ago, I was introduced to this company by our Editor in Chief and I immediately fell in love with the brand.

It was also fun to dress up the shirts from Farfetched. Their style was already fun and very cute. As a fellow dog lover, I don't just love the designs these shirts have, I also love what this company stands for.

Farfetched is a company that was founded by two friends and dog lovers Noelle Creamer and Adam Wilkerson. Every purchase of these really fun and super adorable apparel and accessories gives back to the Farfethed #DOGood campaign which helps dogs in need. You can learn more about #DOGood by clicking here.

For this look, I wanted to make sure that I showcase the shirts in a more dressed up fashion. I wanted to show you that even shirts can become part of your dressier outfits, it's all about what other pieces you pair it with.

Tshirt: Farfetched
Skirt: Charlotter Russe
Belts: Forever 21
Shoes: Agaci
Phone case: Farfetched

In this look I had my sister do a more laid-back look. Did you see how Odie is matching our shirts too? He loves the camera. I think it's because his dad take way too many pictures of him.

Tshirt Farfetched
Leggings: Old Navy
Button down Shirt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Bag: Farfetched

I love that all three looks are very simple and easy to recreate. I love doing shoots that are potentially something our readers can recreate and I think simplicity of the outfit and using key pieces really does the trick.

Shirt: Farfetched
Pants H&M
Shoes: Just Fab

I was also given the chance to do a short Q & A with the co-founders which was really awesome. I'm super thankful that they found time in their busy schedule to grant me a short interview.

Tell us a bout the charities you choose to help. How do you choose the charity that you help? Do the charities change? Can a charity reach out to you and ask for your help?

We give to a handful of successful non-profit animal groups that are doing their part to foster, adopt, rehabilitate and care for animals in need. These amazing charities we choose to donate to have a great track record of financial stewardship which is important to us because we want to make sure as much money we give goes directly to the animals in need. We are always looking for ways to partner with new animal charities and we encourage those who are interested to reach out to us so we can find a way to help!

What are the plans that you have for Farfetched? Where do you see your company in 10 years?
Over the next decade we plan to grow exponentially; with a goal to become a household name with worldwide recognition. We will be consistently adding new designs and extending our product lines to encompass everything any fashionable animal lover could want. Although having just launched in September, the reception and overwhelmingly positive feedback from our fans and customers has us confident Farfetched Apparel will be sold In retail stores throughout the United States and across the globe. With the expression of compassion towards animals being at the forefront of what our brand stands for, creating our own foundation to help animals is also something we plan to accomplish within the next few years. There are so many partnerships and opportunities we’ve come across in the pet industry that the evolution of our brand is really going to be shaped by what each year brings.

Are there any news, exciting events or specials that you would like our readers to know?

We've recently launched our Dog of the Month section on our website. Our fans can submit their rescue dog story for a chance to be featured all month long and win a free 'Swag-Bag' filled with a bunch of Farfetched Apparel goodies. It’s a great way to raise awareness of rescuing animals over buying them. People get to share their personal story, which will be read by everyone who visits our shop. This also highlights the shelter where their pet was rescued from and can inspire others to look into adopting a pet from their local shelter or animal rescue.

Favorite breed?
Rescued is our favorite breed!

Best dog name?

Ask any dog owner this question and they will say their own dog's name. Unless they have more than one, in which case they will plead the 5th. Every dog has it’s own unique personality and quirks. We think it’s best to get to know your pet and the name will just come to you!

Fun fact about dogs that you would like to share our readers.

Researchers believe that humans and dogs have held companionship for over 32,000 years! No joke, look it up!

Farfetched really allows you to express your love for your furry family member and help a great cause as well!
