Summertime in Chicago is the best time for outings. Every weekend there is some amazing to do. Starting this month, Halfstack will be highlighting some of the local events going on in and around the city of Chicago for you readers to enjoy. 

On this weekends lineup is the Windy City Smokeout. This 3 day (Friday July 11-Sunday July 13) long festival has a talented lineup featuring the ACM Awards New Artist of the Year nominee Brett Eldredge, ACM Awards Top Vocal Group of the Year nominee Randy Rogers Band, Grammy-nominated Eli Young Band, along with many other impressive artists. This Sunday, July 13, the American Homebrewers Association is throwing a Rally at Revolution Brewing Company in Chicago to celebrate the joys of homebrewing and connect beer enthusiasts in the area.  The Rally will feature a VIP tour of the brewery, complimentary beer samples, great prizes, and more! Local homebrewing clubs are invited and encouraged to come brew on site. Plus, all attendees will take home a special Rally-exclusive gift from the AHA.

Wells Street Block Bash is another great event to hit up. Then bash includes a sidewalk sale with merchants in Old Town on Saturday, July 12th from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.! Stores participating include Greenheart Shop, Luxury Garage Sale, Adelaide, Delightful Pastries, Hotel Lincoln, Sproing, Catering Chocolate, Occhialli Eyeglass and Hair Cuttery. 

The merchants are located on between 1640-1746 block of N. Wells St. All Sales and discounts vary upon location. Stop on out to discover the hidden gems of Old Town!
