Halfstack Highlights: Episode 8 - Bee for a cause

Saturday, May 24, 2014 HALFSTACK MAGAZINE

Nabiha Niazi of Beeforacause is a local Chicago accessories designer who does more than just make pretty things. Rather, she is trying to make the world a better place to live in. She gives her customers the opportunity to take part in humanitarianism through philanthropic shopping. Yea, you read that right. YOU can help by doing one of your favorite things to do: shop. Simple as that.

I had the chance opportunity to meet this bite sized woman with a larger than life attitude when I was just starting out in writing during my days at Every event I would go to in the city back in 2009, I would seem to run into this beautiful young woman slinging bracelets going by the name Bee. I first wrote about her back then and it has been amazing to see her brand develop and grow and most importantly to see all the people she has helped.

Fashion can be vain at times, but Bee is giving it a breath of life with her amazing cause. Her heart and passion lies in more than just creating beautiful product, but it lies in helping others find their path and feel great about themselves in the process. Her journey is an inspiration and her continued services have instilled in me - my own set of beliefs about the importance of giving back. I hope this week's Halfstack Highlights episode does just that for all you readers and listeners. Get inspired today, do something good with the hopes of just putting good karma out in the world without expectations of getting any in return.

In this episode, I talk with Bee about her journey into entrepreneurship, her experience in social work and why giving back to the community is such a driving force in her life and career. She also offers some sage advice for the budding entrepreneur and those of you interested in charity work. It's not a path for everyone, but it is one that is fulfilling and so amazing. Give it a listen and let us know your thoughts!
