Vintage Garage Chicago

Thursday, August 22, 2013 HALFSTACK MAGAZINE

Hey there readers! Jen here. Just wanted to pop by and share some great shots from our recent adventure over at Vintage Garage Chicago. Chicago's very own curated monthly vintage flea market. Dwight, Stephanie, baby Sophia and I ventured over to Asia on Argyle and made our way down Broadway to this vintage extravaganza last Sunday.

It was quite a day for us as it started off with our shoot over at Paper Crown Gallery then led us into the city for VGC. Needless to say we had a good time and spotted some great finds. I fell in love with all of the great fashions at the Lost Girls Vintage booth. Keep an eye out for Winnie (their winnebago) throughout Chicago as the owners set up pop up shops throughout town this fall.

I also was eyeing some great typographic letter press forms and awesome homegoods that I'd love to include in my workspace from multiple vendors including STC Finds. The theme was 80's this past weekend and people who sported a mohawk got in free of charge! For the rest a $5 entrance fee was nominal considering the treasures many people found once inside.

Be sure to visit Vintage Garage Chicago online for more information on vendors as well as to keep up to date with the fall schedule. Right now, the schedule is listed through October and I'm sure they will be holding more and more dates. Overall, this is a great market for great conversation pieces for your home, awesome vintage fashions and even greenery. It's eclectic and definitely worth the trip to check it out. Be sure to check out the gallery below for more images from our adventures.
